So I watched 60 minutes last night regarding a 'new' theory that newage families seem to be adopting into their homes, called 'Parental attachment'. Far out ladies and gentleman. Talk about robbing children of their independance and smothering them to death!
These mothers believe in no dummies, bottles, cots or bouncers. They do not send their children to school to have them educated, rather they keep them at home and educate them themselves.
The breastfeed their children until theyre atleast five years old (lovely memories for the children)..
They believe in not telling the children when to eat or sleep and they DONT USE NAPPIES. They watch the childrens faces as cues for when its time to go to the toilet. This woman had a child under the age of one, she was with him all round the clock (cause thats what they do) and would watch for a particular facial expression and she would take him off to the potty. At one stage, she had him pissing into someones front garden in a nearby neighbourhood whilst out walking..charmed im sure!
Her son often would urinate and SHIT in their house, there was actually shit on the floor and she was praising him for doing this..on the floor.
The objective ladies and gentleman is to create free thinkers. The women put the children in their bed (its called a communal bed) and they get rid of the husbands. Fark..I mean COME ON.
They believe in carrying the child around all the time with them in their arms and if they dont, then they claim that they are neglecting the children. Im angry.
I wanna slap em and tell em the damage theyre doing!!
Children need boundaries as security for Gods sake. They need to be told No once ina while, but these parents claim that they dont ever do that. When the children are screaming and losing the plot, they simply say things such as 'ohh youre so angry right now'. Im sorry, but I would find that patronising. No wonder the little boy shits on the floor..'ohh you wanna see mad?? well here then..cop this!'
